The Official Seal for the Town shall consist of a die casting approximately two inches in diameter which impresses an outer and an inner circle of dots enclosing the words "Town of Southington" and "Connecticut" with two supported vines between the words. Also, a second inner circle approximately 1 1/4 inches in diameter, bearing a replica of the First Congregational Church and the first bolt shop in the Town, the words "Seal" and "Qui transtulit sustinet" and the figures "1779."
The Town by action of the Town Council on May 27, 1968, adopted an official flag. The resolution reads as follows:
"Resolved, that the Town of Southington adopt as its official flag, the Town seal, in color, centered on a rectangular field of blue."
