The East Rockaway Public Library was formally established pursuant to a Charter from the New York State Department of Education in 1965. In accordance with Section 41 of the New York State Civil Service Law, this article authorizes the East Rockaway Public Library Board of Trustees to establish the exempt position of Secretary to the Library Board.
