Purpose. It is the intent of this article and this zoning district
to provide for low- to medium-density, single-family housing within
the areas of the Borough which are suitable for this purpose.

Regulations. Within the R-2 Residential District, a building may
be erected, altered or used, and a lot or premises may be used when
it is in conformance with the conditions of this chapter and the specific
use, area and design regulations of this district.

Uses permitted by right. In an R-2 District, the following uses are
permitted by right:
(1)Â
Single-family detached dwelling.
(2)Â
Single-family semidetached dwelling (twin house).
(3)Â
Two-family detached dwelling (duplex).
(4)Â
Municipal use.
(5)Â
Accessory use, provided that they are customarily incidental
and subordinate to the uses permitted by right and special exception.
(6)Â
Home occupation, no-impact home-based.
(7)Â
Forestry.
The following area and bulk regulations shall apply to uses
permitted in the R-2 District:
