No person shall erect a tent or other temporary structure for
the conduct of business, entertainment or other activity to which
the public is invited without first obtaining a permit from the Clerk-Treasurer
for such tent or temporary structure, except a tent or canopy may
be used for a private gathering on residential property without a
permit.

No permit shall be issued under this article until the tent
or temporary structure has been inspected by the fire inspector and/or
such other officials of the Village as are necessary to ensure the
safety and welfare of the public using such tent or temporary structure.
