The provisions of this article shall apply except when it is
necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or
in compliance with the directions of a police officer or official
traffic control device.

No person shall park, stand or stop a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XII (§
174-46), attached to and made a part of this chapter, or on any Village property.

No person shall park, stand or stop a vehicle between the hours specified in Schedule XIII (§
174-47) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets, driveways or areas described in said Schedule XIII, attached to and made part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle for longer than the time limit shown in Schedule XIV (§
174-48) at any time between the hours listed in said Schedule XIV of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule XIV, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XV (§
174-49) except at the angle designated and only within the painted stall lines. On all streets or portions thereof where angle parking is now or shall hereafter be authorized, all vehicles parked thereon shall be parked with the front thereof nearest the curb.
No person shall park a commercial vehicle for the purpose of loading or unloading merchandise, between the hours specified in Schedule XVI (§
174-50) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said Schedule XVI, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
The locations described in Schedule XVII (§
174-51), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as loading zones.
The locations described in Schedule XVIII (§
174-52), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as taxi stands.
The locations described in Schedule XIX (§
174-53), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as bus stops.

A. Parking or standing of vehicles between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. is hereby prohibited on all streets or highways within the Village, in the Village parking lot (except as permitted in §
174-24.1) or on any Village property between May 15 and September 15 of each year. This prohibition shall not apply to the following:

B. No person shall park or stand a motor vehicle in the locations set forth in Subsection
A above where all-night parking is expressly permitted (to wit, in the locations expressly excepted from the prohibition in Subsection
A) on more than (to wit, for a duration longer than) two consecutive days. This prohibition shall be applicable all year (to wit, at all times during each year).

A. No person, other than a Village of Quogue resident, employee or firefighter,
or a current guest of a hotel in the Village of Quogue, shall park
or stand any motor vehicle (other than a Village of Quogue vehicle)
between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. in the Village parking
lot.
B. The right of a Village of Quogue resident, employee, firefighter
or hotel guest to park or stand a vehicle (other than a Village of
Quogue-owned vehicle) in the Village parking lot between the hours
of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. shall be limited to a duration of not more
than seven consecutive days.

A. The portion of the Village parking lot consisting of eight parking
spaces located directly south of the Village firehouse ramp is hereby
designated as a parking area restricted to provide parking for Police
and Fire Department personnel. No person (other than Police and Fire
Department personnel) shall park or stand any motor vehicle at any
time in said portion of the Village parking lot.
B. The portion of the Village parking lot consisting of the entire parking
area located directly west of the Village Police Department rear door
is hereby designated as a parking area restricted to provide parking
for Village personnel (including Police Department personnel and other
Village personnel). No person (other than Village personnel) shall
park or stand any motor vehicle at any time in said portion of the
Village parking lot.

The parking of unregistered vehicles upon private property is hereby prohibited, except in enclosed garages. Said prohibition shall not be applicable to the parking of unregistered vehicles where allowed under Chapter
196, Zoning, as an accessory use customarily incidental to a principal business use on the property, provided that the owner of the property demonstrates that such accessory and principal uses constitute lawful existing uses under Chapter
196, Zoning.

Handicapped parking shall be established for five parking spaces
at the Village Beach, one space on Jessup Avenue, 97 feet north of
Village Lane, one space on Edgewood Road, 273 feet east of Lamb Avenue
and one space on the north side of Village Lane 95 feet from the corner
of Jessup Avenue.

The Village will purchase two double-sided stop signs for use
by the school at the two Edgewood Road crosswalks. Hours when a stop
is in effect are 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
