No person by himself, his agents or servants shall distribute or place in or upon any street, square, park, common, lane, alleyway, public beach or other public places any placard, handbill, flyers, posters, advertisements or paper of any description, except that the same may be placed within the doors of the stores, offices and business houses and at the doors of residences.
No person shall suffer any horse or grazing beast or swine to run at large in the Town or to feed within the limits of the highway either with or without a keeper.

No person shall throw stones, snowballs, sticks or other missiles or kick football or play at any game in which a ball is used or fly balloons or shoot with or use an air gun, bow and arrow, sling shot or other similar device in or across any public way or beach of the Town.
No person shall address or accost another with indecent or profane language in any street or other public place in the Town.
No person shall willfully or negligently obstruct the free passage of foot travelers on any sidewalk, nor shall any person loaf upon any sidewalk or on any street or beach or public way of the Town.
No person shall write, paint, print or otherwise inscribe any notice, advertisement, word, figure or pictures on any of the public sidewalks of the Town; nor shall the same be done on any fence, wall, post, stone, tree, building or structure adjoining said sidewalk without the consent of the owner thereof.

No person shall fire or discharge any gun, pistol, shotgun or other firearm or arrow in or across any of the streets, public beaches or other public places in the Town or within 2,000 feet thereof, nor within 2,000 feet of any house or dwelling in use, nor upon private grounds beyond said 2,000 foot limit, unless with the consent of the owner, but this section shall not prevent the use of such weapons in the lawful defense of one's person, family or property, nor in the performance of duty as duly required or authorized by the law.
No person shall in any way injure or obstruct any of the drinking fountains or watering troughs in any street or public place of the Town, nor throw or place therein any substance which will tend to pollute the water.
No person shall walk, stand or lounge upon any portion of any street or public grounds devoted to the growth of grass, hedges, shrubs or flowers, nor in any way dig up, injure or deface the same.
No person shall injure, deface or destroy any street sign, guide board, lamppost, lamp or lantern thereon, nor any tree, building, fence or post or other thing set, erected or made for the use of ornament of the Town.

No person shall suffer a platform or grate or opening to a cellar or basement in any street or sidewalk to rise above the surface of the same, and every such entrance or opening shall at all times be covered by suitable grating or covering, and that it at all times be properly guarded in a manner subject to the approval of the Select Board.
No owner or person having the care of any building abutting upon any brick, concrete or other curbed or finished sidewalk, the roof of which building slants towards the sidewalk, shall permit the building to be without a barrier, snow guard or other device to prevent the falling of snow or ice from such roof to the sidewalk.
No person shall ride, drive or cause to be driven any horse or vehicle over that part of any street or way which is being mended, repaired or paved if a watchman or sign is posted prohibiting the same, nor along any sidewalk.
No person unless properly clothed, shall be upon any beach or swim, bathe or wade in any water within or adjoining property under the care and control of the Town, nor loiter or walk upon a sidewalk or roadway, other than a bathing beach, in a bathing costume, unless wearing a closed covering; nor lower from their shoulders or remove any part of their bathing costume on any beach, nor disrobe for bathing within public view.
No person shall dress or undress in a vehicle on any street, sidewalk, driveway or public beach.[1]

No person, except an officer of the law in the performance of his duties, shall enter into or upon the premises of another or into or upon any public property with the intention of looking into the window of a house or other building or of spying in any manner upon any person therein.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this article, except as otherwise provided, shall be liable to a fine of not more than $20 for each offense.

Notwithstanding any other provisions of this Code, the Select Board may issue a permit to any person or organization to play volleyball on a public beach, subject to such reasonable restrictions relating to the public needs, safety and convenience as the Board may impose, upon a showing that adequate measures will be taken to protect the public need, safety and convenience. The Select Board may establish such reasonable procedures relative to the issuance of said permit as they deem necessary for the public need, safety and convenience.
