All beaches, parks, and parking lots now or hereafter owned
by and/or dedicated to the use of Watervliet Township for public purposes
shall be under the supervision of the Township Police Department.

No person shall violate any of the regulations for the use of
such beaches and parks as appear herein or as said regulations may
from time to time be promulgated by the Watervliet Township Board,
including rules and regulations governing the use of Township parking
lots and any regulations governing the parking of cars in or about
beaches or parks and upon roads leading into said beaches or parks.

The following rules and regulations shall be observed in the
use of Township beaches and parks:
A. Township beaches and parks shall be open to the public for recreational
purposes from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. each day. All persons using
such beaches and parks shall leave same at the 11:00 p.m. closing
hour.
B. No person shall litter said Township beaches, parks or parking lots
used in connection therewith with papers, cans, bottles or trash of
any other kind, nor shall any person in any way deface or destroy
any fence or other improvement or structure located thereon, nor any
trees, bushes, or other vegetation growing thereon.
C. No persons shall start fires on said beaches or parks except in the
metal grills placed therein by the Township.
D. All vehicles, motor vehicles, and bicycles shall not be allowed on
the beaches or piers of the Watervliet Township beaches and parks
except in the parking areas. No vehicle shall be parked in the parking
area between 11:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.
It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle in a Watervliet Township
beach, park or parking lot used in connection therewith contrary to
the rules established by the Township Board for the use of such parking
lot or in any place or manner other than that designated by the custodian
thereof. No commercial or freight-carrying vehicle or trailer shall
be parked in a Township parking lot.

Any person who shall violate any provision of this chapter shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, punished
by a fine of not to exceed $500 and the costs of prosecution or, in
default of the payment thereof, by imprisonment in the county jail,
for not to exceed 90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment,
in the discretion of the court. The imposition of any sentence shall
not exempt the offender from compliance with the requirements of this
chapter.
