The City of Pewaukee, pursuant to §§ 62.09(1)(b) and 66.01, Wis. Stats.,[1] hereby elects as follows as to the number of Alderpersons per Aldermanic District within the City: commencing with the candidates elected at the regular spring election for the office of Alderperson in 2001, there shall be two Alderpersons per Aldermanic District.

The City of Pewaukee, pursuant to §§ 62.09(5)(b) and 66.01, Wis. Stats., hereby elects not to be governed by those portions of § 62.09(5)(b), Wis. Stats., relating to the terms of office for Mayor and Alderpersons.
A. 
Commencing with the candidate elected at the regular spring election for the office of Mayor in 2001, the regular term of office of the Mayor shall be three years.
B. 
Commencing with the candidates elected at the regular spring election for the office of Alderperson in 2001, the regular term of office of one Alderperson from Aldermanic Districts 1, 2 and 3 shall be two years and one regular term of office of the second Alderperson from Aldermanic Districts 1, 2 and 3 shall be three years. After the regular term commencing in 2001 for all Alderpersons from Aldermanic Districts 1, 2 and 3, their regular term shall be three years.
Any charter provision or any previously enacted ordinance or charter ordinance inconsistent or in conflict herewith is hereby expressly repealed.
This charter ordinance shall take effect 60 days after its passage and publication subject to the provisions of § 66.01, Wis. Stats.
