As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials.

Any structure whether of single or multiple span construction with an interior width of five feet or less.

All land encompassing highways constructed, improved, and dedicated or conveyed to the Town and (after such dedication or conveyance) maintained by the Town and shall include all necessary sluices, drains, ditches, swales, waterways, embankments, retaining walls, bridges on such highway (and under the jurisdiction and control of the Town) and culverts, and the approaches of any such bridge or culvert (beginning at the back of the abutments). The term does not include sidewalks or boardwalks or renewals thereof.
The selection of proportions of ingredients to make the most economical use of available materials to produce a material mix of the required properties.
The reporting of the properties of a substance in comparison with a standard or specification.
The maximum dry density of a soil determined in accordance with ASTM Standard D1557.

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
The New York State Department of Transportation.
Printed documentation detailing the specifications of a product.
Reinforced concrete pipe.
The portion of the highway, improved, designed, or ordinarily used for vehicular travel, inclusive of the shoulder.
The portion of the highway, improved, designed, or ordinarily used for vehicular travel, exclusive of the sidewalk, berm or shoulder.
A scale drawing to be used as a design guide in the workship of a manufacturer.
Shall refer to the Town of Dryden.
The Town Superintendent of Highways.
That portion of the roadbed located between the center line and shoulder.
Underwriters Laboratory.
The entire construction or the various separately identifiable parts thereof required to be provided. Work includes and is the result of performing or providing all labor, services, and documentation necessary to produce such construction, and furnishing, installing, and incorporating all materials and equipment into such construction.
