As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
The period from the receipt of the alarm by any means to the return of staff and apparatus to available status.
The Battalion Chief of the Fire Department of the Township of Bloomfield who is on duty and in command of the on-duty shift of the Bloomfield Fire Department line force.

The Chief of the Fire Department shall be the executive head of the Fire Department and shall be responsible to the governing body for the conduct, efficiency and management of the Department.
The members assigned to an engine, truck or other fire apparatus.
The Fire Department of the Township of Bloomfield.
The Deputy Chief of the Fire Department of the Township of Bloomfield shall be part of the Chief's executive team within the Department and shall assist with the conduct, efficiency and management of the Department under the direction of the Fire Chief.

Directs the enforcement of the Fire Code.
The several firehouses or quarters in which the apparatus and staff are housed.
An order of semipermanent character issued by the Fire Chief for the administration of departmental affairs. Each general order will bear a serial number.
The Mayor and Township Council of the Township of Bloomfield, New Jersey.
The members assigned to any one of the four forty-two-hour tours of duty during an eight-week cycle.
The office of the Fire Chief and administrative center of the Department.
All regular members of the Fire Department of the Township of Bloomfield, irrespective of their rank or duty.
Includes and applies to any and every person who has regular and permanent control or oversight of staff and supervision of their work.
This chapter and such additional administrative regulations as may be adopted or promulgated by the Township Council.
A transitory notice issued by the Fire Chief for the guidance and information of members of the Department.
The Township Administrator of the Township of Bloomfield.
The physician appointed by the Township Council for the Fire Department.
