No person shall distribute or cause to be distributed
for advertising purposes in the Village any free package, box, bottle
or paper containing any pills, powder, lotion, salve, ointment or
other medicinal preparation unless the same is delivered into the
hands of an adult person.
No person, without first having obtained a permit
therefor, shall solicit or receive funds in any public street, avenue
or public place, either by the sale of tags, emblems or similar articles
commemorating an event, cause or benefit, for any purpose whatever.
Permission can only be had for the soliciting of funds as hereinbefore
provided for the sale of tags, emblems or other articles from the
Mayor and upon the unanimous consent and approval of the Board of
Trustees.

A. License required. No person shall peddle or sell or offer for sale
any goods, wares or merchandise on any public street, avenue, sidewalk,
lane, alley or in any public place in the Village without first obtaining
a license to do so from the Village Clerk; provided, however, that
this section shall not apply to wholesale salesmen selling goods,
wares or merchandise exclusively to merchants, vegetables, fruit,
garden truck, farm produce or provisions raised or grown by the person
by whom the same are sold or offered for sale; and further provided
that this section shall not prohibit any person to whom a license
has been granted under § 32 of Article 4 of the General
Business Law of the State of New York from hawking, peddling, vending
and/or selling his own goods, wares or merchandise.
(1) A health certificate is required for food vendors.
B. License fee. Any person applying for a license required by this section
shall, at the time of making application thereto, pay a fee for each
license for peddling, selling and/or offering for sale any goods,
wares or merchandise as aforesaid as follows:
(1) Without a vehicle: $1,250 for an annual license or $20 a day.
(2) With a vehicle: $1,500 for an annual license or $25 a day.
(3) With or without a vehicle, when a locally organized not-for-profit
organization carrying on a special activity the above stated: fees
shall be waived.
(4) With approval of the Village Board.

Hawkers, peddlers or vendors shall not use any of the public
streets or public places within the Village stationary for more than
two hours, trucks or any other vehicles used by them in the conduct
of their business. Special considerations can be extended in case
of special events and Village Board approval with regard to placement
of trucks. The Village Board will determine how many vehicles will
be permitted at one time.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall
be guilty of a violation and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable
by a fine not exceeding $250 for each offense or imprisonment not
exceeding 15 days, or both such fine and imprisonment.
