A. 
The Hopewell Township Recreation Committee shall be composed of five members to seven members, who shall each be residents of Hopewell Township.

B. 
All members shall serve without compensation and shall be appointed by the Mayor of Hopewell Township.
Any vacancy occurring other than by the expiration of a term shall be filled for the unexpired term, in the same manner as the original term.
The powers and duties of the Recreation Committee shall be:
A. 
To maintain a Recreation Resources Report for use by the Township Committee and Township Land Use Board.
B. 
To advise the Township Committee regarding ordinances which affect recreation in the Township.
C. 
To advise the Township Committee as to the recreational needs of the Township.
D. 
To advise the Township Committee concerning recreation programs and related capital improvements.
E. 
To advise the Township Land Use Board concerning recreation and open space, including the review of any major subdivision and for planned unit development recreation plans.
F. 
To render an annual report to the Township Committee reporting recreation achievements, needs and issues of concern. Such annual report shall be forwarded to the Township Clerk on or before the 31st day of January of each year.
