There shall be created and established in the Department of Community and Economic Development the following position: Director, Department of Community and Economic Development.
The qualifications for this position shall be:
A. 
Graduation from an accredited university or college with a master's degree in business or public administration, planning, real estate or a related field.
B. 
Three (3) years progressively responsible experience in the administration and/or supervision of planning, real estate management, urban renewal activities or related activities.
The responsibilities of this position shall be as follows: the management of all municipal functions involving community and economic development, including planning, code enforcement, inspections, engineering, planning and housing.
A. 
The hereinabove noted position is to be considered in the managerial or exempt class of positions with no standard hours of work. The incumbent employed in the position shall be subject to the responsibility for the completion of assigned duties and shall not be entitled to overtime compensation nor to any accumulation of compensatory time. Where required for data processing purposes only, the hereinabove noted salary will be calculated on a forty-hour workweek except as otherwise noted.
B. 
The hereinabove noted position is to be considered as unclassified.
