§ 7:2-1 Districts in the First Ward.

(a) The First Ward of the City of Plainfield is hereby divided into eight (8) election districts, each including all of the territory, and inhabitants thereof, contained within the boundaries set forth on the attached Map of Election Districts of the First Ward.

(1) Descriptions of new election district boundaries for the City of Plainfield First Ward, Second District. BEGINNING at a point generally northeasterly along the various courses in the center line of the Green Brook, said line being the municipal boundary line between the City of Plainfield and Borough of North Plainfield, to a point in the center line of Farragut Road extended; thence, southeasterly along the extended center line of Farragut Road to a point in the center line of East Front Street; thence, southwesterly along the center line of East Front Street to a point in the center line of Richmond Street; thence, southeasterly along the center line of Richmond Street to a point in the center line of East Third Street; thence, southerly along the center line of East Third Street to a point in the center line of Roosevelt Avenue; thence, southerly along the center line of Roosevelt Avenue to a point in the center line of the Central Railroad of New Jersey right-of-way; thence, northwesterly along the center line of the Central Railroad of New Jersey right-of-way to the center line which intersects with the center line of Central Avenue; thence, northerly to the municipal boundary line between the City of Plainfield and the Borough of North Plainfield; thence, northerly along the various courses in the center line of the Green Brook, said center line being the municipal boundary line between the City of Plainfield and the Borough of North Plainfield to a point in the center line of Farragut Road to the point and place of BEGINNING.

(2) Descriptions of new election district boundaries for the City of Plainfield First Ward, Third District. BEGINNING at a point in the center line of East Front Street where it is intersected by the center line of Berckman Street; thence, southerly along the center line of Berckman Street where it is intersected by the center line of South Avenue; thence, northeasterly along the center line of South Avenue which then becomes the center line of East Fifth Street where it intersects with the center line of Park Avenue; thence, southerly along the center line of Park Avenue where it is intersected by the center line of West Seventh Street; thence, westerly along the center line of West Seventh Street where it is intersected with center line of Central Avenue; thence, northerly along the center line of Central Avenue to the center line of the Central Railroad of New Jersey right-of-way; thence, southeasterly along the center line of the Central Railroad of New Jersey right-of-way where it intersects with the center line of Roosevelt Avenue; thence, northerly along the center line of Roosevelt Avenue to where it intersects with the center line of Third Street; thence, northeasterly along the center line of Third Street to where it intersects with the center line of Richmond Street; thence, northerly along the center line of Richmond Street where it is intersected with the center line of East Front Street; thence, northeasterly along the center line of East Front Street to the point and place of BEGINNING.

(A) 1st Ward

§ 7:2-2 Districts in the Second Ward.

(a) The Second Ward of the City of Plainfield is hereby divided into thirteen election districts, each including all the territory, and inhabitants thereof, continued within the boundaries set forth on the attached map of the Election Districts of the Second Ward.

§ 7:2-3 Districts in the Third Ward.

(a) The Third Ward of the City of Plainfield is hereby divided into ten (10) election districts, each including all of the territory, and inhabitants thereof, contained within the boundaries set forth on the attached Map of the Election Districts of the Third Ward.

(1) The First Election District of the Third Ward shall include all the territory and the inhabitants thereof contained in that portion of the Third Ward which is bounded and described as follows:

BEGINNING at the intersection of the center line of Liberty Street with the center line of West Fourth Street and running thence in a northeasterly direction along the center line of West Fourth Street to the center line of Park Avenue; thence in a southeasterly direction along the center line of Park Avenue to the center line of West Seventh Street; thence in a southwesterly direction along the center line of West Seventh Street to the center line of Arlington Avenue; thence in a southeasterly direction along the center line of Arlington Avenue to the center line of West Eighth Street; thence in a southwesterly direction along the center line of West Eighth Street to the center line of Liberty Street; thence in a northwesterly direction along the center line of Liberty Street to the center line of West Fourth Street and the place of BEGINNING.

(2) The Second Election District of the Third Ward shall include all the territory and the inhabitants thereof contained in that portion of the Third Ward which is bounded and described as follows:

BEGINNING at the intersection of the center line of West Seventh Street with the center line of Park Avenue; thence in a southeasterly direction along the center line of Park Avenue to the center line of Randolph Road; thence in a westerly direction along the center line of Randolph Road to the center line of Madison Avenue; thence in a northerly and northwesterly direction along the center line of Madison Avenue to the center line of West Eighth Street; thence in a northeasterly direction along the center line of West Eighth Street to the center line of Arlington Avenue; thence in a northwesterly direction along the center line of Arlington Avenue to the center line of West Seventh Street; thence in a northeasterly direction along the center line of West Seventh Street to the center line of Park Avenue and place of BEGINNING.

(3) The Third Election District of the Third Ward shall include all the territory and the inhabitants thereof contained in that portion of the Third Ward which is bounded and described as follows:

BEGINNING at the intersection of the center line of Randolph Road with the center line of Park Avenue; thence in a southeasterly direction along the center line of Park Avenue to the southerly boundary line of the City of Plainfield; thence in a westerly direction along the southerly boundary line of the City of Plainfield to the center line of Central Avenue; thence in a northerly direction along the center line of Central Avenue to the center line of Randolph Road; thence in an easterly direction along the center line of Randolph Road to the center line of Park Avenue and the place of BEGINNING.

(4) The Fourth Election District of the Third Ward shall include all the territory and the inhabitants thereof contained in that portion of the Third Ward which is bounded and described as follows:

BEGINNING at the intersection of the center line of Plainfield Avenue with the center line of West Seventh Street; thence in a northeasterly direction along the center line of West Seventh Street to the center line of Liberty Street; thence in a southeasterly direction along the center line of Liberty Street to the center line of West Eighth Street; thence in a northeasterly direction along the center line of West Eighth Street to the center line of Madison Avenue; thence in a southeasterly and southerly direction along the center line of Madison Avenue to the center line of Randolph Road; thence in a westerly direction along the center line of Randolph Road to the center line of Central Avenue; thence in a southerly direction along the center line of Central Avenue to the southerly boundary line of the City of Plainfield; thence in a westerly direction along the southerly boundary line of the City of Plainfield to the center line of Plainfield Avenue; thence in a northerly and northwesterly direction along the center line of Plainfield Avenue to the center line of West Seventh Street and place of BEGINNING.

(5) The Fifth Election District of the Third Ward shall include all the territory and the inhabitants thereof contained in that portion of the Third Ward which is bounded and described as follows:

BEGINNING at the intersection of the center line of Darrow Avenue with the center line of West Fourth Street, and running thence in a northeasterly direction along the center line of West Fourth Street to the center line of Liberty Street; thence in a southeasterly direction along the center line of Liberty Street to the center line of West Seventh Street; thence in a southwesterly direction along the center line of West Seventh Street to the center line of Darrow Avenue; thence in a northwesterly direction along the center line of Darrow Avenue to the center line of West Fourth Street and the place of BEGINNING.

(6) The Sixth Election District of the Third Ward shall include all the territory and the inhabitants thereof contained in that portion of the Third Ward which is bounded and described as follows:

BEGINNING at the intersection of the center line of Grant Avenue with the center line of West Fourth Street, and running thence in a northeasterly direction along the center line of West Fourth Street to the center line of Darrow Avenue; thence in a southeasterly direction along the center line of Darrow Avenue to the center line of West Seventh Street; thence in a northeasterly direction along the center line of West Seventh Street to the center line of Plainfield Avenue; thence in a southeasterly direction along the center line of Plainfield Avenue to the southerly boundary line of the City of Plainfield; thence in a westerly direction along the southerly boundary line of the City of Plainfield to the center line of Grant Avenue; thence in a northwesterly direction along the center line of Grant Avenue to the center line of West Fourth Street and the place of BEGINNING.

(7) The Seventh Election District of the Third Ward shall include all the territory and the inhabitants thereof contained in that portion of the Third Ward which is bounded and described as follows:

Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Monroe Avenue with the center line of West Fourth Street, and running thence in a northeasterly direction along the center line of West Fourth Street to the center line of Grant Avenue; thence in a southeasterly direction along the center line of Grant Avenue to the center line of Sherman Avenue; thence in a southwesterly direction along the center line of Sherman Avenue to the center line of Monroe Avenue; thence in a northwesterly direction along the center line of Monroe Avenue to the center line of West Fourth Street and the place of BEGINNING.

(8) The Eighth Election District of the Third Ward shall include all the territory and the inhabitants thereof contained in that portion of the Third Ward which is bounded and described as follows:

Beginning at the intersection of the center line of West Fourth Street with the center line of Monroe Avenue, and running thence in a southeasterly direction along the center line of Monroe Avenue to the center line of Sherman Avenue; thence in a northeasterly direction along the center line of Sherman Avenue to the center line of Grant Avenue; thence in a southerly direction along the center line of Grant Avenue to the southerly boundary line of the City of Plainfield; thence in a westerly direction along the southerly boundary line of the City of Plainfield to the center line of West Fourth Street; thence in a northeasterly direction along the center line of West Fourth Street to the center line of Monroe Avenue and place of BEGINNING.

(9) Description of new election district boundaries for the City of Plainfield Third Ward, Tenth District. BEGINNING at a point in the center line of West Seventh Street where it is intersected by the center line of Central Avenue; thence, southwesterly along the center line of West Seventh Street to a point in the center line of Lee Place extended; thence, northwesterly along the center line of Lee Place to a point in the center line of West Fourth Street; thence, northeasterly along the center line of West Fourth Street to a point in the center line of Central Avenue; thence, southeasterly along the center line of Central Avenue to a point in the center line of West Seventh Street to the point and place of BEGINNING.

(b) 3rd Ward

§ 7:2-4 Districts in Fourth Ward.

(a) The Fourth Ward of the City of Plainfield is hereby divided into six (6) election districts, each including all of the territory, and inhabitants thereof, contained within the boundaries set forth on the attached Map of Election Districts of the Fourth Ward.

(1) Descriptions of new election district boundaries for the City of Plainfield Fourth Ward, First District. BEGINNING at a point in the center line of West Front Street where it is intersected by the center line of Grant Avenue extended; thence, northeasterly along the center line of West Front Street to a point in the center line of Geraud Avenue extended; thence, northwesterly along the center line of Geraud Avenue to a point in the center line of the Green Brook; thence, generally northeasterly along various courses in the center line of the Green Brook, said center line being the municipal boundary line between the City of Plainfield and the Borough of North Plainfield, to a point in the center line of Central Avenue; thence, southeasterly along the center line of Central Avenue to a point in the center line of West Fourth Street; thence, westerly along the center line of West Fourth Street to a point in the center line of Grant Avenue; thence, northwesterly along the center line of Grant Avenue to a point in the center line of West Third Street easterly to a point in the center line of Plainfield Avenue; thence, northerly along the center line of Plainfield Avenue to the center line of the Central Railroad of New Jersey right-of-way northwesterly to a point in the center line of Grant Avenue; thence, northerly along the center line of Grant Avenue to a point in the center line of West Front Street the point and place of BEGINNING.

(2) Descriptions of new election district boundaries for the City of Plainfield Fourth Ward, Second District. BEGINNING at a point in the center line of Geraud Avenue; thence, the center line being the municipal boundary line between the City of Plainfield and the Borough of North Plainfield, to a point in the center line of Geraud Avenue; thence, southeasterly along the center line of Geraud Avenue to a point in the center line of West Front Street; thence, westerly along the center line of West Front Street to a point in the center line of Jefferson Avenue that being the municipal boundary line between the City of Plainfield and the Borough of Dunellen; thence, northeasterly along the aforementioned municipal boundary line, said line being the center line of Jefferson Avenue; thence, northwesterly along the center line of the municipal boundary line between the City of Plainfield and the Borough of Dunellen, to a point in the center line of the Green Brook, which is the point of intersection of the municipal boundary lines between the City of Plainfield and the Borough of Dunellen, the Borough of Dunellen and Green Brook Township, and Green Brook Township and the City of Plainfield; thence, generally northeasterly along the various courses in the center line of the Green Brook, said center line being the municipal boundary line between the City of Plainfield and Green Brook Township to Geraud Avenue the point and place of BEGINNING.

(3) Descriptions of new election district boundaries for the City of Plainfield Fourth Ward, Third District. BEGINNING at a point in the center line of West Third Street where it is intersected by the center line of Plainfield Avenue; thence, southwesterly along the center line of West Third Street to a point in the center line of Grant Avenue; thence, southeasterly along the center line of Grant Avenue to a point in the center line of West Fourth Street; thence, southwesterly along the center line of West Fourth Street to a point in the center line of Monroe Avenue; thence, northwesterly along the center line of Monroe Avenue to a point in the center line of West Third Street; thence, northwesterly along the center line of West Third Street to a point in the center line of the Manson Place; thence, northeasterly along the center line of Mason Place to a point in the center line of South Second Street; thence, southeasterly along the center line of South Second Street to a point in the center line of Grant Avenue; thence, northeasterly along the center line of Grant Avenue to a point in the center line of the Central Railroad of New Jersey right-of-way; thence, southeasterly along the center line of the Central Railroad to New Jersey right-of-way to a point in the center line of Plainfield Avenue; thence, southerly along the center line of Plainfield Avenue to the point and place of BEGINNING.

(4) The Fourth Election District of the Fourth Ward shall include all the territory and the inhabitants thereof contained in that portion of the Fourth Ward which is bounded and described as follows:

BEGINNING at the intersection of the center line of McDowell Street with the center line of West Fourth Street, and running thence in a southwesterly direction along the center line of West Fourth Street to the southerly boundary line of the City of Plainfield; thence in a westerly direction along the southerly boundary line of the City of Plainfield to the center line of Wall Street; thence in a northwesterly direction along the center line of Wall Street to the center line of West Third Street; thence in a northeasterly direction along the center line of West Third Street to the center line of View Avenue; thence in a northwesterly direction along the center line of View Avenue and the center line of View Avenue produced to the center line of the right-of-way of the Central Railroad Company of New Jersey; thence in a northeasterly direction along the center line of the right-of-way of the Central Railroad Company of New Jersey to a point in the center line of the right-of-way of the Central Railroad Company of New Jersey in a direct continuation northwesterly of the center line of Morris Street; thence in a southeasterly direction along the direct continuation northwesterly of the center line of Morris Street and along the center line of Morris Street to the center line of West Third Street; thence in a southwesterly direction along the center line of West Third Street to the center line of McDowell Street; thence in a southeasterly direction along the center line of McDowell Street to the center line of West Fourth Street and place of BEGINNING.

(5) The Fifth Election District of the Fourth Ward shall include all the territory and inhabitants thereof contained in that portion of the Fourth Ward which is bounded and described as follows:

BEGINNING at the intersection of the center line of Park Avenue with the center line of West Second Street, and running thence in a southwesterly direction along the center line of West Second Street to the center line of Plainfield Avenue; thence in a northwesterly direction along the center line of Plainfield Avenue to the center line of West Front Street ; thence in a southwesterly direction along the center line of West Front Street to the center line of Geraud Avenue; thence in a northwesterly direction along the center line of Geraud Avenue to the northerly boundary line of the City of Plainfield in the center line of Green Brook; thence in the general northeasterly direction along the center line of Green Brook to the center line of Somerset Street; thence in a southeasterly direction along the center line of Somerset Street to the center line of West Front Street; thence in a northeasterly direction along the center line of West Front Street to the center line of Park Avenue; thence in a southeasterly direction along the center line of Park Avenue to the center line of West Second Street and the place of BEGINNING.

(6) Descriptions of new election district boundaries for the City of Plainfield Fourth Ward, Sixth District. BEGINNING at a point in the center line of West Front Street where it is intersected by the center line of Jefferson Avenue and the boundary line of the Borough of Dunellen; thence, southeasterly along the center line of West Front Street to a point in the center line of Grant Avenue; thence, southwesterly along the center line of Grant Avenue to a point in the center line of South Second Street; thence, westerly along the center line of South Second Street to a point in the center line of Munson Place; thence, southwesterly along the center line of Munson Place to the intersection and center line of West Third Street; thence, northwesterly along the center line of West Third Street to a point in the center line of the Clinton Avenue; thence, southerly along the center line of Clinton Avenue to a point in the municipal boundary line between the City of Plainfield and the Township of Piscataway; thence, northeasterly along the municipal boundary line between the City of Plainfield and the Township of Piscataway to the point and place of BEGINNING.

(7) The Seventh Election District of the Fourth Ward shall include all the territory and inhabitants thereof contained in that portion of the Fourth Ward which is bounded and described as follows:

BEGINNING at a point in the center line of the right-of-way of the Central Railroad Company of New Jersey, and in the direct continuation southeasterly of the center line of Albert Street, and running thence in a southwesterly direction along the center line of the right-of-way of the Central Railroad Company of New Jersey to a point in the center line of the right-of-way of the Central Railroad Company of New Jersey in a direct continuation northwesterly of the center line of View Avenue; thence in a southeasterly direction along the direct continuation northwesterly of the center line of View Avenue and along the center line of View Avenue to the center line of West Third Street; thence in a southwesterly direction along the center line of West Third Street to the center line of Wall Street; thence in a southeasterly direction along the center line of Wall Street to the southerly boundary line of the City of Plainfield; thence in a westerly direction along the southerly boundary line of the City of Plainfield to the center line of West Front Street; thence in a southwesterly direction along the center line of West Front Street to the center line of Jefferson Avenue; thence in a northwesterly direction along the center line of Jefferson Avenue to the northwesterly boundary line of the City of Plainfield in the center line of Green Brook; thence in a general northeasterly direction along the center line of Green Brook to a point in the center line of Green Brook in a direct continuation northwesterly of the center line of Albert Street; thence in a southeasterly direction along the direct continuation northwesterly of the center line of Albert Street and along the center line of Albert Street and along the direct continuation southeasterly of the center line of Albert Street to the center line of the right-of-way of the Central Railroad Company of New Jersey and the place of BEGINNING.
