According to the latest available official census, the Borough has a population of 2,199 residents.

The Mayor of the Borough shall receive as compensation the total annual amount of $1,500 for the calendar year 2022, and for each and every year thereafter, unless the same annual compensation is amended, supplemented or repealed. The current Mayor shall receive as annual compensation for 2021 the total sum of $1,200.

The President of Council of the Borough shall receive as compensation the total annual amount of $1,500 for the calendar year of 2022, and for each and every year thereafter, unless the same annual compensation is amended, supplemented or repealed. The President of Council shall receive as compensation for 2021 the total sum of $1,200.

The other members of Council of the Borough shall receive as compensation the following total annual amounts:

The other members of Council of the Borough shall receive as compensation the total annual amount of $900 for the calendar year of 2021. Those members of Council who are not up for election in 2021 and whose current term will expire at the end of 2023 will continue to receive as compensation the total annual amount of $900 for that annual period of time. Such members shall continue to receive that annual amount of compensation for the years 2022 and 2023, which compensation will change after the end of 2023.
B. 
The other members of Council of the Borough shall receive as compensation the total annual amount of $900 for the calendar year 2021. Those members of Council who are elected for their respective terms from January 1, 2022, shall receive the sum of $1,200 for the calendar year of 2022, and for each and every year thereafter, unless the same annual compensation is amended, supplemented or repealed.

Compensation to be received by the Mayor, President of Council or member of Council under this Part shall be paid on a monthly basis, with each monthly payment being 1/12 of the total annual compensation and, further, with each such payment being made on the last day of each month.
