The purpose of the Chapter is to established regulations concerning
trailers that are not built for living space.

The following words, when used in the Chapter, shall have the
meanings setout herein:
CONSTRUCTION TRAILER
Mobile trailers used to accommodate temporary officers, dining
facilities, and storage of building material during construction projects.
JOB SITE TRAILER
Mobile trailers used to accommodate temporary officers, dining
facilities, and storage of building material during construction projects.
SEMI-TRAILER
A detachable trailer for hauling freight without a front
axle, having wheels at the back and supported at the front by a towing
vehicle.
UTILITY TRAILER
A small non-motorized trailer design to be pulled behind
a motorized vehicle, which is twenty (20) feet or less in length including
tongue. This description does not include the small utility trailer
pulled behind a lawn mower.

A. Any
construction trailers or job site trailers placed within the City
of Truesdale after the enactment of this Chapter, shall be subject
to the following regulations:
1. No construction trailers or job site trailers shall be placed within
the City of Truesdale unless the owner or user provides to City Hall
proof of ownership, proof of proper title, license, and apply for
a six (6) month permit at a cost of twenty-five dollars ($25.00);
2. After said six (6) month period, the permit may be renewed for an
additional six (6) month period for an additional twenty-five dollar
($25.00) payment;
3. If any construction trailers or job site trailers must be located
within the City of Truesdale for more than one (1) year, the applicant
must appear before the Truesdale City Board to give details on the
additional time the unit would be needed at the job site and request
a special permit from the Board;
4. Job site trailers and construction trailers must be anchored and
have occupancy and electrical inspections and permits from the City
of Truesdale before being used for any purpose within the City of
Truesdale.

Utility trailers are required to be licensed and titled within
the State of Missouri or the residency of owner to be within the City
of Truesdale.

A. All
semi-trailers must be licensed and titled within the City of Truesdale.
B. Semi-trailers
can not be used for any type of permanent structure within the City
of Truesdale.

Nothing in this Chapter shall apply to a trailer which is completely
enclosed within a locked building or locked fenced area and not visible
from adjacent pubic or private property, nor to any trailer upon the
property of a business licensed as salvage, swap, junk dealer, towing
or storage facility so long as the business is operated in compliance
with its business license.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this Chapter is
subject to a fine of one dollar ($1.00) to five hundred dollars ($500.00)
and/or a jail sentence of up to ninety (90) days. Each day a violation
exists is deemed a separate violation and the City may also seek injunctive
relief at the landowner's costs, including the City Attorney's fees.
