This article shall be known as the "Animal (Other than Dogs)
Control Local Law of the Town of Bristol, New York."
No person who shall own, keep or suffer to be kept upon any
premises owned or occupied by him/her any cattle, swine, sheep, horses,
goats, reptile, livestock, ungulate, bird or fowl shall permit or
allow any such animals to run at large or to enter the premises of
any other person or any public highway.
Any person harboring any animal for a period of two weeks prior
to any violation of this article shall be deemed to be the owner.

This article may be enforced in any manner consistent with the
laws of the State of New York and the local laws and ordinances of
the Town of Bristol.
In addition to the remedies above-provided, the Town Board may
institute any appropriate action or proceeding to prevent or enjoin
such violation, disobedience, omission, neglect or refusal and to
restrain, correct or abate any such violation, disobedience, omission,
neglect or refusal or to prevent any illegal act, conduct, business
or use in or about any such premises.
If any part or provision of this article or the application
or enforcement thereof is adjudged invalid by any court of competent
jurisdiction, such adjudication shall not impair the validity of the
remainder of this article or the application thereof to other persons
or circumstances.
Whenever the requirements of this article are at variance with
the provisions of any other lawfully adopted rule, regulation, ordinance,
local law or other law, the most restrictive or those imposing a higher
standard shall govern.
This article shall be effective immediately upon its adoption
and filing with the New York State Department of State.
