The executive, administrative and legislative powers of a Redevelopment Agency shall be exercised and discharged by the Mayor and Council.

Editor's Note: This section was reaffirmed 5-2-88 by Ord. No. 1041, which also provided that: "Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:55C-12 and N.J.S.A. 40:55C-37, the Borough of Somerville reconstitutes, reestablishes and reaffirms its authority as a Redevelopment Agency, to exercise directly the powers conferred by Chapter 306 of the Laws of 1949 of the State of New Jersey, as amended, deemed necessary and convenient to carry out and effectuate the purposes and provisions of this act. "The ordinance adopted June 20, 1966, being Ordinance No. 621, is hereby expressly readopted and reaffirmed as having previously conferred the powers of the former Borough of Somerville Redevelopment Agency on the Mayor and Council, pursuant to Chapter 306 of the Laws of 1949 of the State of New Jersey, as amended. "The Borough Clerk be and he is hereby authorized and directed, upon final adoption of this ordinance, to file a certified copy thereof with the Commissioner of Community Affairs of the State of New Jersey."
