In accordance with the provisions of California Government Code Section 36503.5, the general municipal election of the City of Oakdale now required to be held on the second Tuesday in April of each even numbered year, shall be held on the same day as the statewide general election in each even numbered year commencing with the statewide general election to be held November 6, 1984.

All terms of elected officials of the City of Oakdale now due to expire in April, 1984, are hereby extended to the commencement of the term of office of those persons elected to City of Oakdale elective offices at the statewide general election to be held on November 6, 1984.

This article shall become operative upon the approval of the Board of Supervisors of Stanislaus County.
