A. 
Rules and Regulations. The following rules and regulations shall govern the use of the Wayne Township Dog Park:
(1) 
Park Hours: 8:00 a.m. until dusk.
(2) 
Owners must register all dogs prior to use of the park. At the time of registration, a fee shall be charged for the use of the Township dog park. The fee may be found in Chapter 75, Fees.

(3) 
Dog owners are responsible and liable for the actions and behavior of their dogs at all times. Use of park at your own risk. Wayne Township will not provide supervision during dog park operating hours.
(4) 
All dogs must have a current license and a Wayne Township Dog Park pass on when in the park. Passes can be obtained from the Health Department.
(5) 
All dogs must have current rabies, distemper and parvo vaccinations. It is recommended that all dogs be on a flea or heartworm preventative medication.
(6) 
All dogs shall be under the supervision of individuals 18 years or older.
(7) 
A maximum of two (2) dogs per person allowed in the park.
(8) 
No children under age of twelve will be permitted inside the fenced Dog Park area. Children twelve and older inside the fenced Dog Park area must be accompanied by at least one responsible adult eighteen years of age or older.
(9) 
Professional dog walkers and/or dog trainers are not permitted to use the Dog Park for business purposes.
(10) 
Aggressive dogs are prohibited from utilizing the Park. The owner must remove a dog from the park at the first sign of aggression.
(11) 
Female dogs must be spayed and male dogs neutered.
(12) 
Dogs under six (6) months of age are prohibited.
(13) 
All dog bites shall be immediately reported to the Health Department.
(14) 
Sick dogs are prohibited.
(15) 
No prong (pinch), metal choke, or spiked collars are permitted in the Park.
(16) 
Owners or person responsible must keep dogs on a leash until inside the fenced Dog Park area.
(17) 
All dogs must be accompanied by an adult and monitored at all times — abandoning animals is prohibited by law. A leash must be available and ready for use if needed.
(18) 
Excessive barking or howling in such a manner as to disturb the quiet enjoyment of the other users of the park is prohibited.
(19) 
Smoking, alcohol, food or glass containers are prohibited within the park.
(20) 
Owners or persons responsible shall not allow dogs to dig holes or engage in other activities that may create a safety hazard. Play items must be removed when leaving.
(21) 
Owners or persons responsible for the dog(s) must clean up after the dog(s).
(22) 
Bringing unregistered dogs to the Dog Park is strictly prohibited. Violators of this policy may be subject to fine and risk the loss of Park privileges.
(23) 
Owners or persons responsible must supervise dog(s) at all times.
(24) 
Dog permits are not transferable.
(25) 
A violation of any of these rules and regulations, either by an owner, dog handler or dog, may result in the loss of Dog Park privileges, revocation of Dog Park permit, and may result in the penalties provided for in Chapter 1 Section 1-15
A. 
Dog Park passes must be renewed annually by January 31 and expire on the last day of December of each year.
