There shall be in the Town of Upton a Commission on Disability of five members appointed by the Town Manager, with the approval of the Select Board, all pursuant to MGL c. 40, § 8J. A majority of the members of the Commission shall be people with disabilities, one member shall be a member of the immediate family of a person with a disability and one member shall be either an elected or appointed official of the Town. A vacancy shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment for the remainder of the unexpired term. Any member of said Commission may, after a public hearing, if so requested, be removed for cause by the Town Manager.
