The Board of Supervisors of West Nantmeal Township hereby adopts
the International Residential Code, 2003 Edition, including all appendixes,
as now and as hereafter supplemented, reissued, amended and revised,
as published by the International Code Council, Inc. Not fewer than
three copies of the International Residential Code, 2003 Edition,
have been and now are filed in the office of the Secretary of West
Nantmeal Township, and the same is hereby adopted and incorporated
as fully as if set out at length herein.

The following amendments, additions, deletions, and changes
are hereby made to the International Residential Code, 2003 Edition:
A.
Section R101.1 shall be amended by the deletion of the words, "[NAME
OF JURISDICTION]" and the replacement thereof with "West Nantmeal
Township."
B.
Section R103 shall be deleted in its entirety and replaced with the
following: "Section R103. Enforcement."
C.
Section R103.1 shall be deleted in its entirety and replaced with
the following:
R103.1. General. The Board of Supervisors, shall
by resolution, appoint a Building Code Official who shall be certified
by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania under the Act. The Building Code
Official shall be responsible for administration and enforcement of
this code and shall be referred to in this code as the "Code Official."
D.
Section R106.1 shall be added as follows:
R106.1. Submittal documents. Construction documents,
special inspection and structural observation programs, and other
data shall be submitted in one or more sets with each application
for a permit. The construction documents shall be prepared by a registered
design professional. Where special conditions exist, the Building
Official is authorized to require additional construction documents
to be prepared by a registered design professional.
Exception: The Building Official is authorized to waive the
submission of construction documents and other data not required to
be prepared by a registered design professional if it is found that
the nature of the work applied for is such that reviewing of construction
documents is not necessary to obtain compliance with this code.
E.
Section R108.2 shall be amended to state as follows:
R108.2. Fee schedule. Fees for each plan examination
and building permit, including the moving or demolition of buildings
and structures, shall be paid in advance in accordance with the Fee
Schedule established by resolution duly adopted by the Board of Supervisors
of West Nantmeal Township, as the same may from time to time be amended.
F.
Section 110.1 shall be revised to state as follows:
110.1. Use and occupancy. No building or structure shall be used or occupied, no change in the existing occupancy classification of a building or structure or portion thereof shall be made and no building or other structure shall be conveyed or leased until a use and occupancy certificate has been issued by the Building Official or Zoning Officer in accordance with the provisions of this Building Code and Chapter 215, Zoning.
G.
Table R301.2(1) shall be amended by inserting the following:
