As used in this article, the following terms shall have the
meanings indicated:
EQUIPMENT and APPARATUS
Any item(s), whether permanent or mobile, that are used by
one or more persons in and about the immediate area of the item(s).
This definition is intended to include, but is not limited to, portable
basketball hoop units, hockey and soccer goals.
It shall be unlawful to erect, locate or permit to remain in,
on or under any public street, right-of-way, easement or sidewalk
any obstruction, including equipment or apparatus that will interfere
with the use of the public street, right-of-way, easement or sidewalk
by the public traveling on foot or in vehicles or by the Township
for the use of the right-of-way or easement. Any obstruction which
shall remain in any public street, right-of-way, easement or sidewalk
after notice or demand for its removal by the Township shall be deemed
a public nuisance.
Any person violating the above provision shall be subject to a warning for the first violation. Any person violating the above provision after receiving a warning shall be subject, upon conviction to a penalty as prescribed in Chapter
1, Article
II, and General Penalty of the code of the Township of Willingboro.
