The City Council of the City of Avalon is hereby authorized by resolution to establish and charge paramedic service fees for services in the amount sufficient to reimburse the City for costs reasonably borne by the City in providing paramedic services to the community. Such fees shall be in amount not to exceed the actual cost of operation, maintenance and repair, overhead, and a reserve for capital expenditures.

A fee shall be established by the City pursuant to § 4-7.01 for paramedic services. Such fee shall be due and payable by any person or persons requesting and/or receiving paramedic services requiring transportation by ambulance to a hospital or medical evacuation.

The fee charged by the City for providing paramedic services shall be due and payable within 30 days of billing therefor.
