Unless otherwise specifically set forth, the meanings of terms used in this Chapter shall be as follows:
INDUSTRIAL WASTEThe liquid waste from industrial processes as distinct from sanitary sewage.
INSPECTORThe person duly authorized by the City to inspect and approve the installation of house sewers and their connection to the public sewer and to supervise the maintenance and operation of the sewer works.
PERSONSAny individual, firm, company, association, society, corporation, or group.
PUBLIC SEWERA sewer in which all owners of abutting properties have equal rights, and is controlled by public authority.
SANITARY SEWERA sewer which carries sewage and to which storm, surface and ground water is not admitted.
SEWAGEA combination of the water carried wastes from residences, business buildings, institutions and industrial establishments.
SEWERA pipe or conduit for carrying sewage.
SEWERAGE WORKSAll facilities for collection, conveying, treating, and disposing of sewage.
