No person or persons shall permit any geese, ducks, chickens, turkeys or any other domestic fowls, to run at large. The owner or owners, keeper or possessors of same shall keep such fowls, geese, ducks, chickens, and turkeys on the premises of such owner, keeper or possessor of same.

It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, association, or corporation, or his/her, its or their agents or employees within the corporate limits of the City of Bismarck, Missouri, being the owner, or having the care or control of any livestock or other domesticated animal, to suffer or permit the same to run at large within the corporate limits of the City. It shall be their duty to keep the same within a proper enclosure.

Subject to the exceptions set forth in Section 205.185, it shall be unlawful for any person, firm, association, or corporation, or his/her, its or their agents or employees within the corporate limits of the City of Bismarck, Missouri, to own, keep or use any stockyard, pen, place or premises in or upon which any number of hogs, swine, horses, ponies, cattle and/or goats shall be kept or maintained.

A. 
In the event any person meets each and all of the following criteria, then said person may maintain horses, ponies and/or cattle within the City limits of Bismarck, to-wit:
1. 
Such person must own a single tract of land consisting of ten (10) acres or more, which said ten-acre tract must be separate and distinct from said individual's residence and surrounding curtilage comprising his or her residence's yard; and
2. 
Have an adequate water supply consisting of a pond or well for said animals; and
3. 
The entire ten-acre tract must be appropriately fenced so as to maintain and impound said horses, ponies and cattle and prevent them from running at large; and
4. 
Such person must have an enclosed shelter or barn large enough to accommodate the total number of horses, ponies and/or cattle located upon said property; and
5. 
Such person may not allow said animals to run at large within the City of Bismarck, Missouri; and
6. 
Such person may not have more than one (1) horse, pony or cattle per two (2) acres of real property.
B. 
In the event the City of Bismarck utilizes a metered water system, then the land owner may be allowed to utilize City water for said horses, ponies, or cattle. The aforesaid exceptions to Section 205.180 allowing the maintenance of horses, ponies or cattle within the City limits applies only to horses, ponies, and cattle and not hogs, swine, or goats or any other animals prohibited from residing within the City of Bismarck pursuant to other ordinances.
