The costs of any indebtedness associated with the Hamlet of
Macedon Water District shall be apportioned by equivalent dwelling
units (EDUs), which shall be assigned to water users under the following
criteria:
A.Â
Residential
user (Class A):
(1)Â
Single-family
residence [estimated 60,000 gallons per year (gpy)]: one EDU.
(2)Â
Mobile
home/apartment/townhome (with kitchen and bath): one EDU.
(3)Â
Multifamily
homes, townhomes, or homes with apartments shall be assigned one EDU
for each separate home, townhome, or apartment containing a kitchen
and bath.
B.Â
Commercial/Institutional
user (Class B, less than 480,000 gpy): minimum one EDU per service
and an additional one EDU for every 60,000 gallons per year of usage
above the first 60,000 gallons per year, up to 480,000 gallons per
year, rounded to the nearest whole EDU.

= 6 EDUs

Commercial/Institutional
user (Class B, greater than 480,000 gpy): minimum one EDU per service
and an additional one EDU for every 60,000 gallons per year of usage
above the first 60,000 gallons per year up to 480,000 gallons per
year, and then an additional one EDU for every 120,000 gallons per
year above 480,000 gallons per year, rounded to the nearest whole
EDU.

Industrial
user (Class C, less than 6,000,000 gpy): one EDU for every 60,000
gallons per year up to 6,000,000 gallons per year, and then rounded
to the nearest whole EDU. Minimum of six EDUs.

Industrial
user (Class C, greater than 6,000,000 gpy): one EDU for every 60,000

120,000 gallons per year above 6,000,000 gallons per year, and then
rounded to the nearest whole EDU.
