Be it ordained by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Woodstown, in the County of Salem and State of New Jersey:

Any lawfully elected or appointed member of the Woodstown Borough Council and the Mayor shall be reimbursed or indemnified for all legal fees, costs, and/or damages which may be awarded against that person for any lawful action undertaken by them in the performance of their official duties on behalf of the Borough of Woodstown. The indemnification or reimbursement provided herein shall be in an amount equal to the difference between any amount covered by insurance and that amount actually expended by said individual; provided, however, that any expenditure over and above the insurance coverage provided shall be reasonable and necessary.

The indemnification and/or reimbursement provided herein shall not be available in the event an action is brought against the Mayor or Council person by the Borough Council acting on behalf of the Borough of Woodstown.
