[Adopted 12-1-1948 (Ch. 5, Art. I, of the 1976 Code)]
Pursuant to Chapter 264 of the Laws of 1948, approved July 27, 1948,[1] in accordance with the Constitution of 1947, there is hereby established in and for the Borough of Woodlynne the Municipal Court of the Borough of Woodlynne, which shall be a court of record and have its seal which shall bear the impress of the name of the court.

Said court shall be presided over by a Judge, who shall qualify under the laws and rules of the Supreme Court of the State of New Jersey, now existing or to be prescribed from time to time hereinafter. Said Judge shall be appointed as other officers of the Borough are appointed and shall be for a term of three years, at an annual salary as provided by the annual salary ordinance.[1]

There shall be created the office of the Clerk of the Municipal Court of the Borough of Woodlynne. Said Clerk shall be appointed as other officers of the Borough are appointed and shall hold office for a term of one year, at an annual salary as provided by the annual salary ordinance.[1]

The jurisdiction of said court shall be the territory embraced within the Borough of Woodlynne, over civil and criminal matters, and said Judge shall follow the practice and procedure as provided in N.J.S.A. 2A:8-1 et seq.,[1] together with the rules promulgated by the Supreme Court of the State of New Jersey governing municipal courts.
