[Adopted 7-13-2021 by Ord. No. 2021-10]
The local redevelopment law, N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-1 et seq., "the LRHL," authorizes municipalities to determine whether certain parcels of land in the municipality constitutes an "area in need of redevelopment", as such term is defined in the LRHL; and
Pursuant to the LRHL, on June 8, 2021, the Borough Council of the Borough of Woodstown, in the County of Salem, New Jersey, duly adopted resolution No. 2021- designating the property identified on the tax maps of the Borough of Woodstown as Block 21, Lot 39 as a "non-condemnation area in need of redevelopment," (the "Redevelopment Area"); and
In order to effectuate the redevelopment of the Redevelopment Area, and pursuant to the authority granted under the LRHL, the Borough instructed the Borough Planner, BACH Associates, PC to prepare a redevelopment plan for the Redevelopment Area entitled, "Redevelopment Plan, Block 21, Lot 39, June 2021" dated June 2021 (the "Redevelopment Plan"); and
After reviewing the Redevelopment Plan and consulting with the Borough professionals it was found that the Redevelopment Plan is appropriate.
The aforementioned recitals are incorporated in herein as though fully set out forth in length.
The Redevelopment Plan, as filed in the office of the Borough Clerk and attached hereto as Exhibit A is hereby approved and adopted pursuant to terms of the LRHL.[1]
