As used in this article, the following terms have the meanings indicated:
POLITICAL SIGNS
A sign expressing support for or opposition to a candidate for public office or an issue specific to a current election or referendum, and shall include such political paraphernalia as posters, bumper stickers (when not affixed to a moving object), banners or the like.
No political sign shall be temporarily or permanently affixed to a fire hydrant, telephone booth, utility pole, telephone pole, traffic sign or other public utility structure or posted, painted or otherwise affixed to trees, rocks or other natural features within a street right-of-way or in any other manner be placed within any street right-of-way or placed on any property owned by the Borough of Woodlynne.
A. 
The owner and/or tenant of the premises and the owner and/or erector of the sign shall be held responsible for any violation of these regulations and the costs of removal of any sign found to be in violation of this article.
B. 
Any sign erected or maintained in conflict with the regulations of this article shall be removed within 72 hours of the written notice of violation from the Borough.
C. 
Any public office candidate who, directly or indirectly by his/her agent, representative or campaign official, permits a violation of this article for 72 hours after notification to said public office candidate, his/her agent, representative or campaign official to remove the same shall be subject to a fine not exceeding $150 and shall be charged with all costs of removal. The erection, posting and placing of each individual sign shall constitute a separate offense.
