It shall be unlawful for any person to fire, discharge or shoot any firearm, gun, air gun, BB gun, blowgun, spring gun, gas-operated gun, blowpipe, slingshot, bean shooter, any toy gun, or any other contrivance manufactured and calculated to throw, sling or discharge any shot or other missile within the city limits, and it shall be unlawful for any person, other than a law enforcement officer or a duly licensed person, to possess any such weapon upon the streets, alleys, or other public ways of the Town, except while transporting such weapon from the place of purchase to his home or from his home to a point outside of the city boundaries and return.

It shall be unlawful for any parent or other person standing in loco parentis to knowingly permit a minor to do any act in violation of the provisions of § 202-1.
This chapter shall not be construed to prohibit any officer of the law from discharging a firearm in the performance of his duty.
