It shall be the duty of the City Treasurer to perform in general all duties required by law, and the ordinances of the city. It shall be his duty to receive and safely keep all monies of the city which may come into his hands and disburse the same upon the order of the Mayor and City Commissioners; to keep accurate accounts of all monies received and disbursed by him on behalf of the city, specifying the time of disbursement, from whom received, to whom paid, and on what received and disbursed. He shall keep a separate accounting of each fund or appropriation and the debits and credits belonging therefor; deliver to every person paying money into the city a receipt, specifying the date of payment and on what account paid. He shall keep all notes, bonds and other evidence of indebtedness belonging to the city, and such notes, bonds and other evidence of indebtedness belonging to the city shall always be subject to the order of the Board of Commissioners.
The City Treasurer of the City of Weatherford, Oklahoma, shall execute a good and sufficient surety bond to the City of Weatherford, in such sum as may be determined by motion or resolution of the Board of Commissioners, for the faithful performance of his duties as such Treasurer, said bond to be approved by the Board of Commissioners. The premium on the bond shall be paid by the City of Weatherford.
