All security agencies, armed and unarmed, licensed by the Council
on Law Enforcement Education and Training, and private investigators,
shall be required to register with the Police Department of the City
in which said security agency and private investigators conduct business.
The security agency and private investigators by telephone, or in
person, shall contact the Chief of Police or his designated agent,
or the City Clerk, and shall provide said party with the following
information:
a. The guard's employing company;
b. Whether working a fixed post or roving patrol;
c. If working a fixed post, the location of the post;
d. Whether working unarmed or armed; and
e. Whether working in uniform or plain-clothes.
The security agency shall be required to notify within 72 hours
the City of any changes in the above information.
