In accordance with 30-AM.R.S.A. § 2252, Subsection 2, there is hereby established a board of assessment review.

The board shall consist of three members appointed by the City Council for terms of three years each; provided, however, in the first instance one member shall be appointed for a term of one year, one member for a term of two years, and one member shall be appointed for a term of three years. Each member shall serve without compensation and shall serve until his or her successor is appointed.

The City's board of assessment review shall exercise all powers and perform all duties as required of and delegated to such boards under the Constitution and laws of the State of Maine.
