(a) 
Chapter 7, Code of General Ordinances, is hereby adopted and shall be the guidelines for code relating to building and construction within the City entitled, "Building Code" which is numbered §§ 7.1.001 through 7.11.0004 inclusive.
(b) 
Violations of the City of Butler Building Code are punishable as provided in Section 1-7.

Surveys shall not be required for the issuance of building permits, except that the building official or his representative may require a survey of the property if the property owner is unable to accurately designate the location of their property lines when they are needed to determine yard setback requirements that are required in the zoning regulations.

All demolition permits issued by the building official shall expire 90 days following the date of issuance. Those persons that have expired demolition permits may apply for a forty-five-day extension with Council approval. The fee for filing for an extension shall be 10% of the original permit fee, except that it shall not be less than $10.
