Article I: Through Streets and Stop Intersections

§ 209-1 Designation of through and stop streets.

The following are designated as through streets or boulevards and all vehicles approaching on the listed stop streets shall come to a full stop before entering said intersection and yield the right-of-way to vehicles approaching on the through street or boulevard:

East East Street	From South Sixth Street in an easterly direction to the easterly corporate limits of the Town	All intersecting streets
East Elizabeth Street	From South Pennsylvania Avenue to Bi-State Boulevard	All intersecting streets
East Elizabeth Street	From Bi-State Boulevard in an easterly direction to South Sixth Street	All intersecting streets

Memorial Drive	From East State Street to the southerly corporate limits of the Town	All intersecting streets
Railroad Avenue	From West State Street to West Chestnut Street	All intersecting streets
South Maryland Avenue	From East State Street to the southerly corporate limits of the Town	All intersecting streets

§ 209-2 Erection of signs.

Signs marked with the word "Stop" shall be erected on the designated stop streets at their intersections with the designated through streets so that signs may be clearly visible to vehicle using said stop streets. The signs shall conform to the State Manual and specifications as established by the Department of Transportation of the State of Maryland and/or the Federal Manual as provided by the Department of Transportation of the United States Government.

§ 209-3 Violations and penalties.

Any violation of this article shall be punishable as a municipal infraction. A fine of $50 may be imposed for each violation of this article. A fine of $100 may be imposed for a second violation of this article. Each day a violation continues shall be deemed a separate municipal infraction.
