Upon notice, duly published, in a weekly newspaper published in the Town of Delmar, Delaware, or a newspaper of general circulation published in Wicomico County, Maryland, and such other notice as may be prescribed by the Commissioners of Delmar, Maryland, and/or the Delmar Public Works Department, may order the consumers of water in the Town of Delmar, Maryland, to conserve and reduce the consumption of water therein, specifying the hours of use and the type of use.

Any consumer of water in the Town of Delmar, Maryland, who, after said notice has been duly published as required by § 230-1 above, shall violate such orders and/or regulations, said consumer shall be personally informed of such violation orally or by written notice by the Commissioners of Delmar, Maryland, and/or by any member of the Delmar Police Department.

Any violation of this article shall be punishable as a municipal infraction. A fine of $50 may be imposed for each violation of this article. A fine of $100 may be imposed for a second violation of this article. Each day a violation continues shall be deemed a separate municipal infraction.
