The Mayor and Council of the Borough of Northvale do hereby
establish the position of Public Events Coordinator of the Borough
of Northvale.
Compensation for such official shall be established by the Mayor
and Council in accordance with law at such time as this position shall
be filled and the appropriate salary ordinance is adopted.
The Public Events Coordinator shall be responsible for:
A. Planning all aspects of Borough events (Memorial Day Parade and Service,
Veterans Day, Town Day, Tree Lighting, Easter Luncheon, Recreation
advertising banners, Chodae Annual Golf Outing, Fireworks, Music in
the Parks/Concert Series and any other Borough events) to include
but not limited to arranging venue, event entertainment, speakers,
vendors and volunteers and managing, attending and overseeing the
event on the day of the event.
B. Acting as the fund-raising coordinator for all Borough public events.
C. Issuing vouchers and collecting payments in a timely manner, and
creating comprehensive and readable financial reports.
The Public Events Coordinator shall be appointed through nomination
of the Mayor with confirmation by a majority of the members of the
Council. The Borough retains the right to suspend, demote, reassign,
discharge or take any other disciplinary action in accordance with
local, state and federal law.
