No person or persons, association or corporation, their employees or agents shall tamper with, paint, deface, destroy, tarnish, or alter public property that regulates parking which shall include, but not be limited to, any sidewalk, curbing, signs, established parking lines or meters in any way.
Penalties shall be as follows.
Any person who violates any of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to a fine of at least $100 but not exceeding $1,000, or imprisonment for a period not exceeding 90 days, or both.
Except as otherwise provided, each and every day in which a violation of any provision of this Code of the City exists shall constitute a separate violation.
Any person who is convicted of violating this Code may be subject to reimbursing the City for the cost of repairing the damage.
Any person who is convicted of violating this section of the Code within one year of the date of a previous violation of this section, shall be sentenced by a court to a fine as a repeat offender in addition to any fine imposed. The additional fine imposed by the court upon a person for a repeated offense shall not be less than the minimum or exceed the maximum fine fixed for a violation of this Code provision, but shall be calculated separately from the fine imposed for the violation of this Code provision.
