The Fire Chief position shall remain a part-time position until
the joint fire commission appoints a full-time Fire Chief. The Fire
Chief shall, by virtue of his office, hold the office of fire inspector.
The present part-time Fire Chief shall continue as the Fire Chief
for the department on a part-time basis until a full-time chief has
been appointed.

In order to be eligible for the position of full-time Fire Chief,
the applicant shall meet the criteria set forth in the position description
adopted by the Village on January 16, 1996, and by the Town of Mukwonago
on January 31, 1996.

The Fire Chief shall have the duties, responsibilities and powers
as set forth in other sections of this Code and as set forth in the
position description adopted by the Village on January 16, 1996, and
by the Town of Mukwonago on January 31, 1996.
