[Amended at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1, General
Provisions, Art. I)]
This district is intended to protect and stabilize areas which
are currently zoned ER-1 and may have been subdivided or developed
under the former A-3 Zoning District provisions. It is intended only
to provide a "grandfather" provision to minimize hardship and inconvenience
on existing settlements. Such areas are not intended to be expanded
nor new areas changed to this district. This district is intended
to provide an orderly and protected transition between general agriculture
areas and areas experiencing nonagricultural development, principally
those of residential development concentration. The ER-1 Existing
Residential District is intended to protect existing housing resources
and to provide for orderly development of new, in-fill housing resources
within these existing districts.
