A. Pursuant to authority contained in § 26 of Article 2B of
the Annotated Code of Maryland 1957, every holder of a license issued
by the Clerk of the Circuit Court for the county to sell alcoholic
beverages whose place of business is located within the City shall
procure from the City an annual license of the same type as the county
license so held and shall pay therefor an annual license fee to the
City which is equal to 20% of the alcoholic beverage license fee payable
to the Clerk of the circuit court for Prince George's County
as prescribed by Article 2B, §§ 8 through 24A, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland.
B. Application for a City license as required in this section shall
be made to the City Treasurer, and upon payment of the fee prescribed
above, a license shall be issued by the City Treasurer. Every license
thus issued shall expire on the 30th day of April next after its issuance.
The fee for every license issued for a period of less than one year
shall be calculated pro rata from the date of issue until the 30th
day of April next after the date of issue, both inclusive. It shall
be unlawful for any person to sell alcoholic beverages within the
scope of this section within the City unless and until he shall have
procured a City license as required in this section.

Except as otherwise provided by this chapter, violations of this chapter shall be punishable as a municipal infraction as provided in Chapter
20 of this Code. The fine for any single initial violation shall be $250, and the fine for each repeat of that offense shall be $500.
