Effective January 1, 2020, or upon the approval of the Joint Municipal Court of the Town of Hammonton by the State of New Jersey Administrative Office of the Courts, Buena Vista Township is no longer a member of the Township of Hamilton Regional Municipal Court, and §§ 15-1 through 15-17 of the Buena Vista Township Municipal Code are hereby repealed in their entirety and shall be replaced by the following new sections establishing the Joint Municipal Court of the Town of Hammonton.
Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2B:12-1, there is hereby created a joint
municipal court composed of the Town of Hammonton ("Hammonton") and
Buena Vista Township ("Buena"), with both municipalities being located
in Atlantic County, New Jersey.
The name of the Joint Municipal Court shall be the "Joint Municipal
Court of the Town of Hammonton."
The Joint Municipal Court shall have a seal, which shall bear
the impress of the name of the Court.
The jurisdiction of the Joint Municipal Court of the Town of
Hammonton shall be coextensive with the territory of the Town of Hammonton
and Buena Vista Township.
