This article should be known as the "Residency Requirement for
the Town Attorney of the Town of Brighton."
The provisions of § 3 of the Public Officers' Law
of the State of New York and § 23 of the Town Law of the
State of New York requiring a person to be a resident of the Town
of Brighton to serve as Town Attorney shall not prevent a person from
holding the office of Town Attorney of the Town of Brighton, Monroe
County, State of New York, provided that such person resides in Monroe
County or in an adjoining county within the State of New York.
