In an effort to conform to the requirements of the Third Class
City Code with respect to the numbering of enacted ordinances, the
City of Monessen shall serialize the list of ordinances provided in
Section 2 of this Ordinance, so that they follow the appropriate format
under 11 Pa.C.S.A. § 11018.6(d).
The list of past ordinances of the City of Monessen are not
numbered sequentially, and shall be numbered sequentially based upon
date and time of enactment. The table below lists the originally assigned
number of each ordinance along with its corrected, sequential number.
This Ordinance shall not alter any language or meaning to any affected
ordinances. This Ordinance shall only renumber certain ordinances,
as provided in "Exhibit A" of this Ordinance.
In the event any provision, section, sentence, clause or part
of this Ordinance shall be held to be invalid, such invalidity shall
not affect or impair any of the remaining provisions, sections, sentences,
clauses, or parts of this Ordinance; it being the intent of the City
of Monessen that the remainder of the Ordinance shall be and shall
remain in full force and effect.
All ordinances or resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions
insofar as they are inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed and
rescinded.
This Ordinance shall come into effect 10 days after enactment.
