This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the "Elected Officials Compensation Ordinance of the Town of Windham, Maine."

The purpose of this chapter is to establish the compensation level for certain elected officials during their term of office.

For the purpose of this chapter, the following words and terms, as used herein, shall have the meanings defined or explained as follows:
Financial consideration provided to an elected official for service rendered to the Town.
Member of the Town Council.
Any public meeting attended by a quorum of members of the Town Council.

Elected officials shall be compensated the approved budgetary allocation on a quarterly basis (every three months).
The provisions of this chapter shall take effect as of July 1, 1994.
