The Mayor and Council of the Borough of Lodi may from time to
time amend, supplement, change, modify or repeal this chapter, including
the accompanying map or maps.
The Mayor and Council, by resolution adopted at any meeting,
shall fix the time and place of a public hearing on the proposed amendment
and cause the notice thereof to be given as provided by law.
At a public hearing provided for in §
585-50 and §
585-51, full opportunity to be heard on the question involved shall be given to any resident and to all interested parties.
If a protest is filed against any proposed amendment or revision
of this chapter, signed by the owners of 20% or more either of the
area of the lots or land included in such proposed change or of lots
or land extending 200 feet in all directions therefrom exclusive of
street space, within or without the municipality, such amendment shall
not become effective except by a favorable vote of 2/3 of all the
members of the Borough Council.
The said amendment shall not take effect until a copy thereof
shall be filed with the Bergen County Planning Board. Copies of this
chapter and all revisions or amendments thereto shall be filed and
maintained in the office of the Borough Clerk.
