No person in connection with a change of said person's legal domicile, shall move, or cause to be moved, from or to any place within the City to another place therein, or any place beyond the limits thereof, any household goods in bulk in connection with the relocation or termination of a place of residency, without first securing a permit for such moving or transportation from the License and Permits Office located at Hazleton City Hall, 40 North Church Street, Hazleton, PA 18201.

Any person or persons making a movement of household goods as above described, shall first make application to the Office of License and Permits on forms provided, setting forth names and addresses of the movant, names of the owners of premises involved and address of premises involved, names of children and other information requested.
Upon filing of an application, the License and Permits Department shall issue a permit upon receipt of payment of a fee as established, from time to time, by resolution of City Council and a determination by the Office of Permits and Licenses that per capita taxes, water bills, and sewage charges are not delinquent.

Editor's Note: Section 5 of Ord. No. 2018-32 provided that, for purposes of the initial passage of this ordinance, the fee for the moving of household goods is $10, which fee, from time to time, may be amended by Council by resolution.
