The Village Board of Trustees may from time to time amend the terms of this chapter. No amendment shall be adopted by the governing body until it has held a public hearing on the amendment. Notice of the hearing shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in Village at least once a week for two successive weeks prior to the hearing, the first publication being not less than 10 days nor more than 25 days before the date of the hearing. In computing the ten-day and twenty-five-day period, the date of publication is not to be counted, but the date of the hearing is to be counted.
